The School

Caring Jesus Gawad Kalinga Elementary School (CJGKES) is located in Siling Bata, Pandi, Bulacan (2.5 hours away from Manila) in close proximity to a Gawad Kalinga village where some 400 informal settler families affected by the development of the North Rail Transit were relocated. In 2007, the Pineda family responded to the call of Gawad Kalinga to "give care" where the need was most dire.


The school provides free tuition and books to all its students.

Caring Jesus Educational Foundation purchased a lot in Siling Matanda, Pandi, Bulacan, and is in the process of building a full elementary school complex.

 

CJEF strives to become at par in terms of quality with the best private schools in the country and aspires to introduce technology in the early grades.



Milestones:

  • Feb - May 2011 : construction of 4 classrooms
  • Aug 2011 : Transfer from old site to permanent complex
  • In process now: library, computer lab, basketball court
