With a deep respect for Filipino traditions and the wisdom of past generations, Liam Jian Tan leads The Courtney Jordan Foundation’s Elder Care Initiatives, ensuring that the Ifugao elders—keepers of culture, history, and agricultural knowledge—receive the care and support they deserve.
Coming from a family that values both Filipino and Chinese traditions, Liam understands the importance of intergenerational connections. His work focuses on providing healthcare access, social support, and livelihood opportunities for elderly farmers who have spent their lives shaping the Banaue Rice Terraces and their communities.
Under his leadership, the foundation has implemented:
✅ Community Wellness Clinics offering free medical checkups and traditional healing programs
✅ Livelihood & Mentorship Programs where elders teach sustainable farming and indigenous crafts to younger generations
✅ Cultural Preservation & Storytelling Projects to document and share the invaluable knowledge of Ifugao elders
Liam believes that honoring our elders is not just about care—it’s about empowerment, respect, and keeping the heart of our heritage alive.
